Shuttle Van
Monday-Friday: 8:25am and 10:55am
| Our 14-passenger shuttle van provides free transportation to poor and homeless individuals twice a day, Monday through Friday, leaving our building at 8:25am and 10:55am. The route goes through Northside, Southside, Downtown Pittsburgh, and to the University Drive VA Hospital. The poor and the homeless can board at any of the 11 stops and get off at any of the stops. This service allows those who have no other means of transportation, to get to the social and medical services that they need. The homeless are able to use the shuttle van service instead of walking great distances, since many carry large bags of their personal belongings. |

Life Skills Training
Each academic year, fifth-year Occupational Therapy students from Duquesne University provide Life Skills Training for the veterans in our program. In the Fall they do various assessments and activities geared toward getting to know the veterans better. From January through April, they provide training in computers, interview skills, dressing for success, stress management, money management, and more.
